Privacy Policy
What little data this site touches, how it is used, and what would change if advertising were added.
Introduction
This policy explains how Trailbound Journal, published by Guangmei Technology Co., Ltd., handles information when you visit our website. We keep it simple: we do not run accounts, newsletters or comment sections, and we do not actively collect personal information about our readers.
Information we collect
Trailbound Journal does not require registration and does not ask for personal details. Like any website hosted on shared servers, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs that record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and troubleshooting. We do not use this data to build profiles of individual visitors.
Cookies
Google AdSense is active on this site. Google and DoubleClick may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to collect anonymised usage data, serve relevant advertisements, and measure performance.
Third-party advertising data
Should we integrate a third-party advertising provider such as Google AdSense in the future, that provider may use cookies or similar technologies to collect anonymised data about your visits, including which pages you view, so it can serve ads that are relevant to you and measure their performance. You can control and review your personalisation choices for Google advertising in your Google Ads settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through the industry tools that those settings link to. No such advertising is active on this site today.
Data security
We take reasonable precautions to protect the limited technical data we handle. Because we do not store personal accounts or payment information, there is little personal data on this site to protect — which is exactly how we like it.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
External links
Our articles may refer to official organisations such as parks services, hut associations and transport operators. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites, and we encourage you to review their policies when you follow such references.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and note the date of the change. Material changes that affect your privacy will be described in plain language here.
